These full-spine radiographs are taken in the standing, weight-bearing position to fully substantiate the examination findings.

As an example, imagine a dimmer switch is in a room you just walked into. While the lights still may be on and working, they are only doing so a reduced capacity. A biomechanical distortion of the upper cervical spine causes the body to function at a less-than-optimal state.
After an upper cervical correction is provided, a brief resting time occurs in order for the brain and nervous system to integrate. After that resting time, a second infrared neurologic scan will be performed. This illustration shows that normal nervous system impulses have been restored.
